UFC Paris: Meet the Five Fighters Making Their UFC Debuts This Weekend

Five fighters step into the UFC for the first time this weekend: Salahdine Parnasse, Fabia Sintes, Michael Aljarouj, Matthieu Duclos, and Delphine Benouaich. Here’s a breakdown of who they are and what’s on the line in their first walks to the cage.

Salahdine Parnasse vs. Dan Hooker

Salahdine Parnasse (23-2) is the headline story of the entire card, a French-Moroccan lightweight who’s making his UFC debut in the main event, a spot reserved for only the rarest of newcomers. He’s the first fighter to debut in a UFC main event since Kai Asakura at UFC 310 in December 2024. Parnasse built his reputation as a two-time KSW featherweight champion and reigning KSW lightweight titleholder from April 2024 through April 2026, defending the belt four times, all by knockout.

He signed with the UFC after that KSW run and made a highly publicized tune-up appearance on Jake Paul’s MVP MMA card streamed on Netflix in May, blitzing Kenneth Cross via first-round TKO in just over four minutes. He’s riding a five-fight knockout streak into Paris.

Standing across from him is veteran Dan Hooker (24-14), a longtime top-10 lightweight making his 25th appearance in the promotion. Parnasse gets a rare honor debuting on home turf as a significant betting favorite, with lines around -600 to Hooker’s +425 as of fight week.

Fabia Sintes vs. Michael Aljarouj

This flyweight prelim pits two undefeated-in-the-big-leagues Europeans against each other, and both are making their promotional debuts on the same card.

Fabia Sintes (11-3), a 31-year-old from Menorca, Spain, enters as the reigning WOW FC flyweight champion, arriving on a seven-fight winning streak with five of his eleven career wins coming by submission. Notably, the UFC signed him on a direct contract without requiring a Dana White’s Contender Series appearance, a testament to his regional dominance over roughly a decade of competing.

His opponent, Michael “The Soldier” Aljarouj (13-3), carries one of the more compelling backstories on the card. Born in Aleppo, Syria, he was a youth Arab World Kung Fu champion before fleeing to France at 15 and building a life through night-shift construction work while training. He climbed the French regional ranks to become the Hexagone MMA flyweight champion and #1-ranked flyweight in France, also holding the inaugural Jungle Strike flyweight title, and enters on a six-fight unbeaten run.

Betting markets favor Aljarouj as the home-crowd pick priced at -132 and Sintes priced at +106.

Matthieu Duclos vs. Luis Felipe Dias

Matthieu Duclos (10-3), a 31-year-old middleweight out of France, arrives with a long regional résumé built almost entirely on finishes, eight of his ten wins have come by knockout. He previously appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2024, losing to Marco Tulio by second-round TKO via spinning back kick, but rebounded with four straight wins in Hexagone MMA, including back-to-back title reigns as Hexagone’s interim and full middleweight champion. His most recent outing came in April 2026, a first-round TKO of Ilian Bouafia in a Hexagone MMA Winamax tournament final.

He faces Brazil’s Luis Felipe Dias in a matchup that’s drawn tight lines. The line had flattened into a genuine coin-flip after Dias opened as a slight -130 favorite with books pricing it -110 across the board.

Delphine Benouaich vs. Sofia Montenegro

Delphine Benouaich (7-2) rounds out the newcomer class in a women’s strawweight prelim, and her path to the UFC is one of the more unusual on the card. A physical education teacher from the Paris suburb of Évry, she grew up sparring informally with her three older brothers, didn’t start grappling until her 20s against her parents’ wishes, and turned pro only in 2024 after several years competing as an amateur. She reached the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter season 34, advancing to the tournament’s semifinal round with a win over Mackenzie Stiller before earning her contract. Her professional record includes four TKO/KO finishes and a submission, with both of her losses coming by decision.

She meets Sofia Montenegro (6-2) in a fight that most oddsmakers view as leaning her way but far from a lock. Moneyline pricing has Benouaich as a moderate favorite somewhere between -145 and -165, with Montenegro priced in the +120 to +130 range across most sportsbooks.
